Caring Hands

A young mother--prepares-her newborn child~to-leave the hospital. She has no blanket to wrap around the child.

Come and join us. We will be making new blankets for Children's Hospital of Michigan, located in the Detroit Medical Center. Many women come to Children's Hospital to have their babies, including women from the homeless shelters.

Currently we are knitting. All skill levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced. Lessons available for knitting, crocheting and quilting.
Accepting Donations of: Money - Checks should be made payable to First Presbyterian Church and designated for "Caring Hands" on the memo line. Blankets- 30" X 36" is the smallest size we can accept. Of course, larger size blankets are fine.

We will meet the first Monday of the Month at 7:30
pm beginning February 2, 2009. Childcare is available.
Contact:       Kathy Gricius,  Sandy Tanner    or  Jacqueline Haskin
