Prayers and Squares Quilt Group
This group is part of a national organization that makes quilts for those in need of comfort and prayer within our own congregation. We currently meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am in the Mission Room to cut, sew and assemble the quilts. When the quilt is complete, we inform the church staff of its completion and a recipient for the quilt is chosen. The quilt is then presented to the congregation and all members are asked to tie a knot in the quilt and say a prayer for the recipient as the knot is being tied. This is truly a “hands on” endeavor in which anyone can participate.
You do not have to be a quilter or a seamstress to take part in Prayers and Squares. A willing hand and heart are the only requirements.
